TGIB Tour Comes to Lost Paradise!

We were treated today to a very special concert by Vanish,  as part of his TGIB 2014 Hypergrid Tour.  Despite several outages due to server problems, we were treated to his great style of Indie guitar playing and singing.  As the concert was in the region Pink Floyd, the concert was peppered with many songs and melodies from the Wall, Dark Side of the Moon and other albums.   As Virtual Christie describes Vanish's style, Bob Dylan when sung in key... and much more.

It was good get together with both LP and Hypergrid friends.  I apologize to anyone who would not get in due to resources but promise that we will be doing this again soon.

It was a fun time to dance in this beautiful region that is made for concerts and parties.

Here are some of the pics from the event

The artist Vanish sits comfortably to play his unique style of music, complete with a live stream.

It was great to dance over the rotating prism :-).

Some concert goers hanging back :)

Thanks to Cloneu Ingelwood for making this region possible for us! And thanks to Vanish for the music. Wooop ! Maybe a repeat performance later... hope so :)

Sweet Irish Springs Resort

Hypergrid in--

 lpgrid.com:8002:Downham

What? Said I, would be a nice relaxing place to go for a quickie getaway.

Where would *I* want to spend a weekend?

Well, I had something in mind.  A place to flesh out our cluster of British themed regions, in sight of the new Dickens Plaza.

It would have to  be a resort, a place purely for fun.  It would have to be romantic, and there would be have to dancing.

And it hit me.   We needed an Irish resort, but not citified Ireland.  We needed something as pretty and fresh as a stretch of whitewashed cottages.  So was born Sweet Irish Springs Resort.

And not just any resort. It would have to be dominated by an imposing country castle, with forest paths, plenty of flowers and of course, a place to take a swim.

So.. here it is.  Grand opening this weekend .

The cottages - most cottages are furnished with multi lover pose beds and rugs.  Please feel free to take your partner or just a friend over here for some fun...

I will be working on possibly doing a sync dance floor near the pub... to be continued... here are some pictures...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

After arriving via bridge at Sweet Island Springs (Downham) you are greeted with a sign about the region.

Here is a country road with the guest cottages.

Each cottage is done with different décor. Most have a loft also.

Dominating the region is the Sweet Irish Springs Castle, with topiary and fountain.

Interior of the castle which is richly furnished with most furniture by Doc Falworth and Loralynn Skytower.

Wander east to the Irish Eyes Pub with an outdoor dance floor.

Inside the pub is cozy with a roaring fire and rustic furnishings.

behind the castle is custom swimming pool with diving board and lounges.

Don't forget to stop by the gift shoppe for free  Irish themed gifts to commemorate your stay here.

The Curious Flying Hackney Ride

When I was completing virtual Dickens Plaza, I  thought that the mid square needed something, something to do.

After searching through Vbinnia's lovely steampunk tinkerings in her region "Steam" in osgrid, and picking up a few of the amazing flying or floating machines, I found the perfect solution for "something to do".

Enter the World Famous Flying Hackney Couch!   I had the scripts changed to allow anyone to man.

You can now take a very smooth ride around the region, take in the sights, feel the clean breeze above the city.  Just don't forget to return the hackney to the square after you have finished your ride!

This Hackney Ride is a formidable flying machine.

Up up and away! The hackney ascends above the rooftops!

Her I am, nervously manning the helm of the flying ship!
What a peaceful view of the sunrise from up here!

This has been deemed "Kewl"! and "Cool!" by lp residents who have tried the ride. Its a nice soothing way to take in the region.   Anyone can also hyergrid in and come over...     lpgrid.com:8002:Dickens Plaza

In Development: Dickens Plaza

I am attracted to Old London.  To cobbled walkways, brick buildings, and people scurrying about in the snow.

For granted, Old London was more likely a steamy, smelly place with lots of people, horse manure dotting the pretty cobbled streets, and worse in the drains.  But, darn, I am still attracted to that vintage feeling.

So was born Dickens Plaza, a hybrid between an Old English Sim and Diagon Alley.  Here you can wander around the streets,  hang out in the pub, or shop at one of the freebie shops.  Or, if this kind of grimy, homey living suits you, take a home (there are several) or rent a store here.  You will find yourself in good company.

We are still in development but in the able hands of my cohort, Doc Falworth, as well as the suggestions by my artist daughter, Viola Dutchley, this region is shaping up.

So... we invite you to come take a look...
