Celestial Dreams opens in Heritage Plaza

I remember fondly my first store in Second Life, (as mentioned in the my first post).  It was a beautiful, simple store that I sublet from Eye Candi.  As I developed more products, I even had a wall removed and ended up renting a double sized store. It was so much fun, and I learned a lot.

Transport to now, I am no longer developing on Second Life, and I have spent the last year working on Commonwealth,  and now Heritage.

All the time in the back of my head thinking I wanted to get back to creating jewelry and clothing, maybe even shoes?  We'll see.

My baby step in all of this is taking the plunge and opening a store in Heritage Plaza...  so far I have racks of hair, skins, and panels of clothing.

It is not always easy to import your SL work to OS (I am still working on it).  What I was able to glean so far, as well as new items, I have in my shop. I will be adding some hand made eyes and a few pieces of furniture I have made.  Click all, its all copyable.. and it's all free.

Hugz :)

Here I am standing in front of my new store

Left hand of store currently features hair, avatars and clothes

Right Hand of Store is Art by Viola.  All furniture is copyable.

Step back in time… Medieval Wessex—

One of my favorite Star Trek episodes (and yes, I am a bit of a Trekkie and I do age myself because of that) is “All My Yesterdays”.

If you recall, this episode brings Kirk and company come to a planet about to be hit by an asteroid.   The people on this planet survived by time traveling backwards.  They were  transported back into time and lived out their lives in another age, hundreds or thousands of years before the imminent impact of the asteroid.   The people were able to pick the time and the place of their time travel from a huge historical depository named the “Library”.  Each inhabitant was genetically modified before time traveling to their desired age so that they were best suited for their new reality.

In a way, I feel like the Heritage Project is a bit like “All My Yesterdays”.  Of course we are not exiting our real life because of any imminent danger, but simply to escape for a few hours a day to a new age, a new reality.

The House of Wessex

In that vein we are trying to make your experience in our Heritage regions as immersive as possible and where possible we are offering entertainment,  wares, clothing and housing to fit the culture and time period.

Medieval Wessex is a region in development in the Tudor area.

Future Jousting Run? I think I even see a stable for the horses!

We will have the essential town square, and several large Tudor styled buildings with room for retail and some housing.  We decided it was essential to have a romantic area to stroll and a few surprises along the way. Doc Falworth, region creator extraordinaire, is currently bringing this magical region to life.
Its’s like Disney world on your computer screen.
Come see, you may never want to leave ...

Here I am at sunset, thinking what a romantic place this would be for a wedding...

And Doc has outdone himself with a gorgeous Wessex "Kissing Bridge"

Freebies in Mizu East

Hypergrid address:

We decided early into the project that we wanted an Asian area in Heritage.  I love the colors and the terrain of Asian landscapes, the luscious art, the beauty and the restraint, the stylized symmetry, it all speaks to me and, in my mind,  is perfect for virtual.

However, I didn't want to just offer a barren area with nothing to do. It seems to me there is plenty of "nothing to do" regions.

I realized early on I wanted to do a large shopping area in Hoshi Mizu, the Asian cluster of Heritage.

I stylized a shopping mall based on my first store I rented in Second Life. It had a simple and elegant open-air mall with many reflecting ponds, places to hang out, meet new friends, and yes... shop!

Unlike the greed of Second Life, our Asian Shopping mall is full of freebies! Yes, I have been collecting Asian freebies across the metaverse, and I plan to find more.

Right now I have an assortment of decorating, landscaping, and clothing goods here and I am already thinking of what else to add.

There are quite a few open spots for vendors here. We can even set up a VirWox terminal here in the future for vendors who want to charge for their wares.

I hope you come visit. Stores are anywhere from quite small if you only have a few things to the whole top floor of Hoshi Freebies, so please come check it out, to shop or to sell...

Below -- Inside Hoshi Freebies... lots of home goods here, all free.

Corner stores and a pagoda store available for rent, or a tea house maybe??

Musing through Heritage Plaza

Weary virtual traveler, so where to go first in Heritage?

Well, one would recommend, to start at the beginning.

In Opensim, that may be your estate starting point.  In Heritage, that would be Heritage Plaza (Heritage 33).

This concept region was perfectly conceived and produced by Doc Falworth, master builder in Lost Paradise.

When you first enter the plaza, you will arrive in a beautiful brick sunken patio, surrounded by meticulously laid walls and landscaping. Take one of the four stone staircases upwards to the beautiful plaza of shops above. Which, by the way, are there for you if you are a vendor of virtual ware of all types.

When Doc and I discussed this concept build he mentioned that he found out just what architectural style that the buildings were. "Georgian Revival".  Being a lover of colonial architecture myself, Georgian Revival evokes the best practices of Colonial architecture with a smattering of Greek and Roman influences.  Which is why, of course, the four portico walkways overlooking the neighboring sims work so well.

We invite you to come check out this beautiful build, and we invite you to take a store here.  (Please feel free to join the Heritage Estates Mechants Group)  Or, soon, shop here for free.

Many beautiful stores for rent... double or single sized.

The whole region is surrounded by beautiful park-like landscaping. This scene shows one of the pergolas overlooking the water and an adjoining region.

Welcome to Virtual Heritage Estates at Lost Paradise!

Envision something and it will become an idea.

Nourish that idea and it will percolate.

Percolate the vision and it will flourish.

So was born Heritage Estates, a themed area in Lost Paradise.

Many questions may you have...

Why another estate? Well, we felt that there is a concept to this estate and a goal.

It so far is comprised of five clusters, with water regions surrounding it.

Each cluster will encompass a theme, and each cluster would offer shopping, entertainment and housing... all for free.  We envision volunteers to eventually help with the running of the estate but nothing too formal and nothing too rigid.

Our motto is simply have fun.

We have some of the best builders in virtual right helping to configure our reigons. And  well, I will be around to offer tours, to help newcomers  set up housekeeping.
